Overview

When your server is first created, it starts off with a freshly generated world. However, you may want to bring in a world that has already been worked on whether it's from realms, singleplayer, or online. Uploading a custom world to your bedrock server can be troublesome to deal with, but no need to worry! We are here to guide you through each step of the process.

How to Upload a World to Minecraft Bedrock Edition

Converting a .mcworld into a zip

To the top-left of your file explorer, click the "View" tab and then click the checkbox for "File Name Extensions".
Right click your file, select the rename option, change the .mcworld extension to .zip and press enter.
Your world should now be saved as a zip archive.

Downloading an online world

Create a folder in a known directory on your computer and name it to something easy to remember.
It is recommended that your world comes from an official site such as Planet Minecraft. Double check the world you are downloading is made for Bedrock Edition and not Java Edition.
Download the world to your computer.
The world filed might have been saved as a .mcworld file. If this is the case, make sure you convert it to a .zip file.
Once the world was converted, extract the files from your world zip into the folder you created using a decompression tool such as 7Zip or WinRAR.

Finding your local world/save
There are a few ways to get your local world/save. The first is by exporting it directly from the game. The second is by getting into the world save directory in your computer files and copying the desired world into a known directory.

Exporting from the game

Open Minecraft and click "Play". You should see a list of your singleplayer worlds.
To the right side of the world you wish to download, click the edit icon.
Scroll down until you find "Export World" and click it.
Save your world into a known directory in your computer.

Downloading from Realms

Open Minecraft and click "Play".
You will see your Realms get loaded. Click the "Edit" icon.
Find your latest world save on your right and click the download icon.
Go back into the Play tab and you will see the world freshly imported at the top.
Click the edit icon on the world, scroll down to "Export World" and choose a known directory to download it into.

Copying from the saves directory

Open your File Explorer.
Paste in C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds\ into the directory listing at the top of the File Explorer. Make sure to change "Username" to your computer username.
This will open your saves folder for Bedrock Edition. Find your save and drag the folder onto your desktop or into another known directory.
Rename the world so you can identify it when uploading it. It's always best to avoid using spaces or special characters when renaming it.

Uploading your world to the server

Stop your server.
Access your server files via an FTP client such as Filezilla.
Find the world folder that you wish to upload on your computer.
Drag it over to the /worlds folder of the server.
Wait for the world to fully upload through FileZilla, and make sure no files fail to transfer.

Setting the server to load the world

Navigate through your Multicraft panel and locate the "World" field.
Enter the name of the world folder you uploaded exactly as it appears and click "save".
Startup the server and the new world should load.

Common Issues

When joining the server, the world that is loaded is not the one you uploaded.
This is usually because the world field of your server panel was set to an incorrect name, take into account this name is case sensitive and needs to be named exactly the same. Alternatively, make sure the world was uploaded to the /worlds directory of your server panel correctly.
